The Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Tunisia celebrated its National Day this evening in a vibrant ceremony held in the capital, attended by a large number of ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, and prominent political, cultural, and media figures.
The celebration opened with a short documentary film prepared by the embassy, showcasing Turkey’s comprehensive development across various sectors, as well as the depth and history of Tunisian–Turkish relations and their most significant milestones of cooperation.
In his address, Turkey’s Ambassador to Tunisia, Mr. Ahmet Misbah Demircan, expressed his delight at sharing this special national occasion with Tunisian friends. He emphasized the strong and enduring ties between the two nations, built on mutual respect and fruitful collaboration, while reaffirming Turkey’s commitment to expanding partnerships with Tunisia in the fields of economy, culture, education, and tourism.
For her part, Tunisian Minister of Family, Women, Children, and the Elderly, Asma Jebari, extended her warm congratulations to the Republic of Turkey, its leadership, and people, praising the brotherly relations between the two countries. She also underlined Tunisia’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with Ankara, particularly in areas related to women’s empowerment, family welfare, and social initiatives.
The event concluded in a warm and festive atmosphere featuring Turkish musical performances and traditional cuisine that delighted the guests.
