Tunisian singer Hamza Fadhlaoui is back with a new musical release, “Ma Andi Kifek Had,” accompanied by an official music video that marks a fresh chapter in his artistic journey. Produced by Krom Production, the single is now available across major digital music platforms, bringing together Mediterranean-inspired sounds and the distinctive character of Tunisian-Arab musical identity.
Driven by Spanish-inspired rhythms, the song combines an international musical touch with lyrics and melodies deeply connected to Tunisia’s cultural and musical heritage. Written and composed by Abdelrahim Quraishi, arranged by Hamza Fadhlaoui, and mixed and mastered by Mohamed Derai, the four-minute-and-thirty-six-second track offers a blend of contemporary arrangements and familiar regional musical influences.
At the heart of the song lies a familiar Tunisian expression that unfolds into an emotional narrative shaped by love, attachment, disappointment, and reproach. Its lyrics trace the shifting stages of a relationship, moving from confidence and devotion to disillusionment and the desire to reclaim one’s sense of self. This emotional openness allows listeners to connect with the song through their own experiences.
The accompanying video, directed by Mohamed Messaoui, reunites the director with Fadhlaoui following their previous collaboration on “Hila Hoba.” Filmed at Tarek Ben Ammar Studios in Tunisia, the production recreates the atmosphere of an old Mediterranean city. The artist appears alone throughout the video, moving through the setting in a visual journey marked by introspection, uncertainty, and unanswered questions. The minimalist approach places the singer at the centre of the narrative, without the presence of actors or models.
In contrast to the summery atmosphere of “Hila Hoba,” the new release introduces a different artistic mood and musical direction. With “Ma Andi Kifek Had,” Hamza Fadhlaoui continues to explore diverse musical influences, seeking to expand his sound while preserving the distinctive vocal identity that defines his artistic presence.
