After successful editions in La Marsa, Ain Draham, and Sfax, the EnviroFest Tunisia (Tunisian Environmental Film Festival) is set to captivate the capital. The festival will take root at the Cité de la Culture Chedly Klibi from November 15 to 17, 2025, merging the power of film with urgent ecological discourse and citizen engagement.
The heart of the cinematic program will beat in the Tahar Chériaa screening room of the Tunisian Cinematheque. Audiences will be treated to a curated selection of international films, including the documentary feature “Ocean with David Attenborough” (UK), the Oscar-winning animated film “The Red Turtle” by Michael Dudok de Wit, and the Canadian-American documentary “The Last Tourist.”
The lineup also shines a spotlight on compelling stories from Tunisia and beyond, featuring the local short documentary “Les Enfants de Fatma” by Abdelhamid Bouchnak and the medium-length documentary “Seeds” by Fathia Kedhir.
Beyond the Screen: An Eco-Village for Hands-On Learning
Complementing the film screenings, the festival will host an Eco-Responsible Village on November 15 and 16. From 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the space will become a dynamic hub for discovery, focusing on environmental education, biodiversity, eco-design, and the circular economy.
Visitors can participate in practical workshops and interactive animations and experience eco-innovative projects and local discoveries. The village will also feature live culinary presentations with tastings of organic and local produce.
Cultivating Young Eco-Citizens
Recognizing the importance of early education, the festival dedicates a special zone to children with its “Envirofest Kids” program. Through playful workshops and initiation sessions, young attendees will learn the fundamentals of sorting, selecting, and recycling plastic, empowering the next generation of environmental stewards.
