The Tunisia-Africa Business Council is set to lead a multi-sector trade mission to Guinea, positioning the West African nation as a strategic gateway to a region of over 400 million consumers.
The Tunisia-Africa Business Council (TABC) has announced a major economic mission to Guinea, scheduled for October 28 to November 1, 2025. The event will coincide with the second edition of the Forum for Inclusive Growth in Africa (Focia 2025), creating a pivotal platform for trade and investment dialogue.
According to the council, Guinea represents a high-growth market ripe with opportunity, particularly in the mining, energy, and agro-industry sectors. The mission is strategically designed to position the country as a gateway to the wider West African market, a region boasting a consumer base of over 400 million people and a projected GDP exceeding $20 billion in 2025. Participants in the prospecting mission are promised curated meetings with key partners to explore the burgeoning market and receive direct support for their projects.
Digital Transformation Takes Center Stage
Running parallel to the trade mission, the “Focia 2025” forum will this year tackle the theme of “Digital transformation at the heart of Africa’s emergence: A connected Africa for inclusive growth.”
The forum’s ambitious goal is to position digital technology as a central lever for inclusion, competitiveness, and sovereignty across African economies. In a world of rapid change, where technological innovations are redefining development models, the event will argue that Africa must fully harness the digital revolution to build more resilient and equitable societies.
Key objectives for “Focia 2025” include:
- Highlighting national and regional policies that foster sustainable digital inclusion.
- Accelerating technology access for youth, women, and rural communities.
- Encouraging investment in digital infrastructure, tech start-ups, and impact-driven services.
The forum also aims to strengthen synergies between governments, the private sector, financial institutions, and tech actors. It will create a strategic think-tank environment to address critical issues such as cybersecurity, data management, artificial intelligence, fintech, e-government, and digital entrepreneurship.
Through “Focia,” Guinea is asserting its ambition to become a central hub for African technological initiatives, fostering crucial exchanges between solution creators, investors, and policymakers.
