The Tunisian delegation, participating in the third group of guests under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Umrah and Visit Programme for 1448 AH (2026), implemented by the Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, visited the King Abdulaziz Complex for Holy Kaaba Kiswah and the Revelation Exhibition in Makkah.
The visit to the King Abdulaziz Complex offered the guests an opportunity to explore the meticulous stages involved in producing the Kiswah, from the preparation and weaving of the fabric to embroidery, sewing and final assembly. They were also introduced to the raw materials used in its production and observed the craftsmanship of specialized Saudi national artisans. As part of the visit, the guests took part in a symbolic hands-on experience of weaving a section of the Holy Kaaba Kiswah.
The delegation also visited the Revelation Exhibition in the Hira Cultural District, where they explored its rich displays recounting the stories of the Prophets, peace be upon them, and highlighting key chapters from the noble biography of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. The exhibition also features an interactive experience that employs advanced digital technologies to recreate the story of the revelation of the Quran in the Cave of Hira, providing visitors with an enriching educational and spiritual experience.
The third group of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Umrah and Visit Programme comprises 250 male and female pilgrims representing 23 African countries: Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Algeria, Senegal, Guinea-Conakry, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, Niger, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Mauritania, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Chad, Tanzania, Djibouti, South Africa, Zambia, Namibia, Angola and Mali.
