Intertex Tunisia 2026 in Sousse features 176 exhibitors, including 72 Turkish companies, with officials touting textile production, trade and investment cooperation.
The eighth edition of Intertex Tunisia, the international textile and fashion fair, is running in Sousse from Oct. 22 to 24, 2026, with 176 exhibitors, including 72 Turkish companies.
The strong Turkish presence underscores the Turkish textile sector’s interest in the Tunisian market and in production, investment and industrial cooperation opportunities between the two countries.
The fair opened in the presence of Tunisian Minister of Trade and Export Development Samir Abid and Turkish Ambassador to Tunisia Ahmet Misbah Demircan.
Demircan said Tunisia offers significant opportunities for Turkish companies, citing its skilled workforce, proximity to European markets and export-oriented production capacity.
He also said Turkey supplies Tunisian industries with raw materials and various products, including fabrics, chemicals, automotive parts and machine components. Growth in bilateral trade could support broader production and investment partnerships, he added.
Selçuk Yilmaz, president of the Tunisian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry, highlighted the importance of Turkish companies’ participation in the fair, describing it as an opportunity to strengthen contacts between economic operators and build new commercial relationships.
Yilmaz cited the import of Turkish fabrics and textile accessories, their processing in Tunisia and the export of finished products to European markets as an example of industrial complementarity.
