TAA and TABC join forces to position Tunisia as an African automotive hub

The Tunisian Automotive Association (TAA) and the Tunisia Africa Business Council (TABC) announce the signature of a strategic partnership on the occasion of FITA 2025. This alliance aims to strengthen the influence of the Tunisian automotive sector on the African continent and consolidate Tunisia’s position as a benchmark industrial platform in Africa.

This partnership is based on a shared vision of industrial development and South-South cooperation, taking advantage of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and COMESA. Together, TAA and TABC are committed to promoting Tunisian automotive expertise, particularly in the fields of electric mobility, intelligent manufacturing and innovative components.

The agreement, signed by Mrs. Myriam Elloumi, President of TAA, and Mr. Anis Jaziri, President of TABC, includes the establishment of export support via a platform dedicated to Tunisian companies in the sector, the integration of African value chains and the development of high-impact structuring projects, the joint organization of events, B2B missions, and certifying training courses in partnership with academic institutions,

Regular exchange of information on market opportunities, industry trends and potential partnerships.

“This partnership with TABC enables us to align our industrial ambitions with the growing needs of the African market. It embodies a clear determination to make Tunisia a competitive industrial base, focused on Africa,” said Myriam Elloumi, President of TAA

“Together, we are working to bring about a pan-African vision of the automotive industry, supported by Tunisian know-how and a strategy of continental integration,”, Anis Jaziri, President of TABC noted.

Today, the Tunisian automotive industry comprises more than 280 companies, the vast majority of which are exporters, ready to support the establishment of new manufacturers, equipment suppliers and foreign investors. Thanks to a dynamic and competitive ecosystem, the country capitalizes on its technological assets, skilled workforce and advanced infrastructure, positioning it as a strategic continental hub, offering a modern, sustainable and intelligent industrial platform for the African market.

The Tunisian Automotive Association is a non-profit Professional association created in February 2016 on the initiative of players in the automotive components industry in Tunisia in order to foster exchanges, collaboration and synergy between companies in the automotive industry sector and to support the Tunisian authorities in developing and promoting the sector in Tunisia.

Tunisia-Africa Business Council (TABC) is a non-governmental organization founded by key economic players and Tunisian personalities. Its aim is to put Africa at the heart of the Tunisian government’s concerns, as well as those of economic operators, and to work towards bringing our continent closer together and Africanizing it, thanks to a structured capitalization of knowledge, know-how and skills.
