Red Sea Film Foundation Showcases Saudi Creativity at audi Film Forum and Red Sea International Film Festival

The Red Sea Film Foundation continues to champion the growth of Saudi cinema both locally and internationally, with two major highlights on the horizon—its participation in the upcoming Saudi Film Forum and the unveiling of five remarkable feature films under the “New Saudi Cinema—Feature Films” program at the Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF).

At the Saudi Film Forum, Faisal Baltyuor, CEO of the Foundation, and Imad Iskandar, Director of the Red Sea Fund, will take part in a series of panel discussions exploring cultural exchange, collaboration, and cinematic leadership. Their participation reflects the Foundation’s ongoing mission to nurture creative talent, foster dialogue within the global film community, and strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position as a vibrant hub for cinematic innovation. Visitors are also invited to explore the Foundation’s booth at the exhibition to learn more about its programs, grants, and initiatives that empower filmmakers across the region.

As part of its broader efforts to celebrate and elevate Saudi storytelling, the Red Sea International Film Festival has announced the selection of five feature films for this year’s “New Saudi Cinema – Feature Films” program. The films—“Noor,” “Human Tide,” “Seven Summits,” “I Saw the Drawing of the Sands,” and “Circles of Life”—showcase the creativity and vision of a new generation of Saudi documentary filmmakers. They will be screened during the festival’s fifth edition, which will take place from December 4 to 13, 2025, in Jeddah’s historic district.

Faisal Baltyuor emphasized that the program embodies the flourishing momentum of documentary filmmaking in Saudi Arabia and the artistic maturity achieved by Saudi filmmakers. He noted that these films capture both the depth of human experience and the spirit of transformation unfolding across the Kingdom.

Baltyuor added that the diversity and richness of the selected films highlight the abundance of cultural and human stories emerging from Saudi Arabia — stories that deserve to be shared with the world. Together, the Foundation’s participation in the Saudi Film Forum and the upcoming Red Sea International Film Festival reaffirm its dedication to advancing the Saudi film industry and inspiring a new era of cinematic excellence.
