My Journey to India: Where Civilization Breathes and Humanity Blossoms

At the generous invitation of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, and through the coordination of the Embassy of India in Tunisia, I had the privilege of visiting India as a Tunisian journalist. This press tour aimed to build bridges of understanding and cultural exchange. Between the vibrant capital city New Delhi and the green haven of Bengaluru, the journey was filled with discovery, admiration, and deep human connection. I witnessed a country where nature and humans live side by side, and where religions, languages, and cultures coexist in remarkable harmony.

RITES Ltd.: Shaping What Shapes Lives

Our first stop was RITES Ltd., a leading engineering consultancy that lives up to its motto: “We shape what shapes lives.” The company plays a crucial role in infrastructure development, particularly in railways and transport systems, both in India and abroad. We were impressed by their commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi: A Beacon of Innovation

At IIT Delhi, we discovered a world-class academic institution that drives India’s technological revolution. With its advanced research and highly skilled students, the institute is a hub of innovation and a source of global talent in science and engineering.

Observer Research Foundation (ORF): A Window to Global Challenges

Our visit to ORF provided deep insight into pressing geopolitical and developmental issues such as climate change, energy security, and regional stability. Engaging with experts, we realized India’s growing influence in shaping global policy.

Monkeys, birds, and even squirrels coexist peacefully with people—just like the peaceful coexistence of multiple faiths, languages, and traditions.
