e-People Tunisia, a platform to bring the State closer to the people

In February, the Tunisian authorities signed an agreement with their Korean counterparts in a number of areas. Optimization of Tunisia’s citizen platform was among the deals.

The Tunisian authorities have optimized the 2018 version of the e-People Tunisia digital platform to enable citizens to communicate more easily with the administration. This upgrade was carried out under an agreement signed in February 2025 with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

The platform enables citizens to submit their grievances, suggestions or complaints directly to public administrations. They can log in, select the relevant ministry or department, send their message, and receive a response within a set timeframe. The system also includes a request tracking and notification mechanism, guaranteeing more transparent processing of requests.

On the platform, users can also report cases of corruption, make suggestions to the authorities and access various data. It is part of the Tunisian administration’s digital transformation strategy, as part of the State modernization program.

Tunisia is one of the best performers in the field of e-administration. According to the United Nations, in 2024 the country scored 0.6935 on the Global e-Government Index (EGDI), above the world average of 0.6382 that year.

This new version of e-People Tunisia strengthens the ability of public officials to process requests, and extends the platform to other digital channels. By enabling Tunisians to make their voices heard more effectively, it is set to enhance the relationship between the State and its citizens in the digital age.
