AmCham Tunisia is organising on Thursday a conference on the fight against illicit trade in Tunisia and the Maghreb in cooperation with The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the Transnational Alliance for Combating Illegal Trade (TRACIT) and Philip Morris International.
The conference aims to highlight the latest updates on the illicit trade drivers from a global perspective and at the Maghreb scale, to improve awareness and understanding of the regulatory environment and the economic pillars contributing to the illicit trade prevention, according to a statement issued by AmCham Tunisia on Wednesday.
The conference also provides the opportunity to share ideas and recommendations on measures that can strengthen the legislative framework and its applicability to fight illegal trade and provide both public and private sectors with benchmarks and best practices actions against illegal trade.
