The International Falcon Breeders Auction, organized by the Saudi Falcons Club, will officially open on Wednesday, August 5, and continue until August 25 at the Club’s headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh.
Shipments of falcons from several international breeding farms participating in the auction have already arrived in Saudi Arabia in preparation for the event. This year’s edition will feature pavilions for local, Gulf, and international falcon breeding farms, as well as exhibitors showcasing falconry equipment, a dedicated “Future Falconer” pavilion, interactive displays, and a live auction platform offering direct bidding on some of the finest falcon breeds.
The auction has become a major destination for falconers from around the world, particularly after the Saudi Falcons Club announced earlier this year that all rounds of its competitions would be dedicated to the Farkh (young falcon) category for birds purchased through the auction. The event also provides visitors and falconry enthusiasts with an opportunity to discover elite falcons bred both locally and internationally.
The International Falcon Breeders Auction continues to strengthen its economic and global profile, supported by rising sales, increasing numbers of falcons sold, and broader participation from breeding farms and countries worldwide, reinforcing its position as a leading international platform dedicated to falconry.
In 2025, the auction recorded a 23% increase in sales, with total revenues exceeding SAR 13 million, compared to more than SAR 10 million in 2024. The number of falcons sold also rose by 27%, reaching 1,103 falcons, up from 872 the previous year.International participation also expanded significantly, with 67 breeding farms from 23 countries taking part in the 2025 edition—representing increases of 20% in participating farms and 21% in participating countries compared with 2024, when 56 farms from 19 countries participated. The 2025 auction also included 19 Saudi breeding farms.
The auction’s highest-priced falcon in 2025 was a Pure Gyr Super White, which sold for SAR 1.2 million, making it the most expensive falcon sold during the year.
In addition to the International Falcon Breeders Auction, the Saudi Falcons Club will organize several specialized events throughout 2026 aimed at engaging all segments of society. These include the Saudi International Falcon and Hunting Exhibition (October 1–10), the Melwah Race (October 4–9), the Saudi Falcons Club Auction (October 1–November 30), the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival (November 17–30), and the Saudi Falcons Club Cup (December 21–28).
