Tunisia’s Economy Expands 3.2% in Q2 2025 on Agriculture and Manufacturing Growth

Tunisia’s economy posted a 3.2 percent year-on-year growth in the second quarter of 2025, fueled by strong performances in agriculture and manufacturing, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) reported on Friday.

Gross Domestic Product (GDP) reached 24.8 billion Tunisian dinars (around USD 8.6 billion) during the quarter, while the total GDP for 2024 stood at 96.5 billion dinars, according to the INS’s quarterly figures.

Agriculture led the surge with a 9.8 percent increase, followed by a 3.9 percent rise in manufacturing. Domestic demand grew 3.3 percent, while services expanded by 1.9 percent.

However, external trade presented a contrasting picture: exports declined by 9.6 percent, while imports climbed 8.9 percent during the same period, the data showed.
