Tunisia wins parallel awards at the Carthage Film Festival

The 35th edition of the Carthage Film Festival announced on Friday evening, at the International Media Center in the City of Culture, the parallel prizes for the 35th edition of the Carthage Film Festival.

The jury, composed of Ons Kamoun from Tunisia, Elli Mastorou from Belgium, and Ahmed Boughaba from Morocco, awarded the Journalists’ Union Prize for Cinema of Resistance to The Red Path, directed by Lotfi Achour.

The same jury also granted the FIPRESCI (International Federation of Film Press) Award to Who Do I Belong To by director Meryam Joobeur.

The Lina Ben Mhenni Human Rights Prize jury, comprising Hechmi Ben Frej, Adel Azouni, and Fairouz Ben Slama, awarded the prize to RESSACS, Une Histoire Touarègue by director Intagrist El Ansari.

Finally, the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT) jury, consisting of Naceur Sardi, Habib Bel Hedi, and Soumaya Bouallegui, presented their award to The Color of Phosphate by director Ridha Tlili.
