Tunisia mounted a targeted campaign at the prestigious Hamburg Aviation Forum this week, aiming to solidify its reputation as a rising industrial and technological hub within the global aerospace sector.
The Tunisian delegation used the major European event, which drew over a thousand international professionals, as a strategic platform to promote its capabilities directly to key industry decision-makers. The central objective: to attract fresh investment and secure a more integral role in worldwide aerospace supply chains.
Organized around themes of resilience, digitalization, and sustainability, the forum provided a critical backdrop. Tunisia’s participation, spearheaded by the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA-Tunisia) and the Tunisian Aeronautical and Space Industries Group (GITAS), was orchestrated as a series of direct exchanges and B2B meetings.
“This presence is fundamental to supporting the development and influence of our national aerospace sector,” stated the Consul of Tunisia to Hamburg during an official visit to the Tunisian stand.
The GITAS collective stand served as a central hub for engagement with clients, equipment manufacturers, and potential partners. Beyond showcasing existing infrastructure, delegates emphasized the quality of Tunisia’s human capital, pointing to the country’s engineering schools and specialized training centers as a reliable source of skills adaptable to international standards.
“Our qualified talent pool is a cornerstone of our competitiveness in a global market hungry for skilled professionals and technological investment,” a representative noted.
Looking beyond Hamburg, the delegation actively promoted the upcoming Tunisia Aerospace Meetings, scheduled for July 2026 in Tunis. FIPA-Tunisia and GITAS extended invitations to the global attendees, framing the event as a future nexus for connecting the Tunisian ecosystem with international markets.
Analysts view Tunisia’s proactive, coordinated presence at Hamburg as a clear signal of its ambitions to move beyond subcontracting and towards deeper, more sustainable integration into the aerospace industry’s highest-value activities.
