European Medtech Delegation Wraps Up Tunisia Visit to Boost Device Manufacturing Partnerships

A delegation of European medical technology companies has wrapped up a two-day mission to Tunisia aimed at strengthening industrial partnerships and expanding collaboration in the medical devices sector.

The mission, facilitated by the European Union Delegation to Tunisia, brought together European medtech stakeholders and Tunisian firms specializing in the production of syringes, catheters, implants, and diagnostic equipment.

Activities included a structured networking workshop featuring targeted business-to-business meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions, as well as site visits to leading Tunisian companies such as PEC MED, SOFAP Medical, and Consomed. The visits offered direct insight into Tunisia’s industrial capabilities and manufacturing expertise in the medtech field.

According to organizers, the engagement allowed stakeholders from both sides to deepen ties, identify areas for collaboration, and explore new export opportunities—reinforcing Tunisia’s position as a growing hub for medical device manufacturing in the region.

The initiative is part of the EXPORTI programme under the CQE project, implemented by the German development agency GIZ in partnership with Tunisia’s Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy. It receives financial support from the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
