Tunisia’s first dedicated e-learning platform for the tourism sector, the “Tunisia Tourism Academy,” has been officially relaunched, the Tunisian Federation of Travel and Tourism Agencies (FTAV) announced.
The digital training system, initially launched in 2018 with support from the German cooperation agency GIZ and later consolidated in 2022 with USAID backing, has now undergone a technological upgrade funded by the DRV (Délégation à la Réforme de l’Etat et à la Valorisation des Ressources) in 2025.
The platform targets a broad audience, including travel agents, tourism professionals, students, and members of tourism federations and associations.
It offers a suite of operationally focused training content, featuring over 20 practical courses covering areas such as marketing, cybersecurity, sales functions, and language learning. A portion of these modules is available free of charge, allowing users to complete several training pathways at no cost. This move aims to ease the adoption of digital training tools in a sector facing growing demands for service quality and professionalization.
New features and enhanced programs are currently being finalized to gradually expand the educational offerings and introduce interactive tools designed to improve learning effectiveness.
