At a meeting at the Ministry on Monday, December 16, 2024, Industry Minister Fatma Thabet Chiboub chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee for the project to create the “Made in Tunisia” label.

The event was attended by representatives from UTICA, APII, the Fonds de Dépôts and several ministries and structures involved in industry, trade, agriculture and the environment.

Ms. Chiboub stressed the importance of the project, which aims to enhance the value of Tunisian products, boost their competitiveness and support the national economy. The “Made in Tunisia” label aims to promote product quality, encourage consumption and foster job creation.

During the meeting, the project’s foundations were presented, including the specifications and the action plan, which will be implemented in three stages: the creation of a reference framework for the label, the launch of a membership program for companies, and a strategy for promoting the label internationally.
