The Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts launched a national advertising campaign on the evening of March 25, 2025 at the Palais Kobbet Enhas in La Manouba, under the slogan “ Live the moment… Live Tunisia ”, aimed at 16 European tourist markets and broadcast in 14 languages.
Developed by the Office national du tourisme tunisien (ONTT) in response to an international call for tenders over a period of two and a half months, the campaign will be broadcast on digital and traditional media, as well as on digital billboards installed in stations, subways, major thoroughfares and airports.
At the launch ceremony, attended by the Governor of La Manouba and several European ambassadors, Tourism Minister Sofiane Tekaya emphasized that this initiative marks Tunisia’s return as a flagship destination for Europe, with a target of 11 million visitors by 2025. He highlighted the country’s political and security stability, improved airport and hotel services, and the promotion of as yet little-known tourism products.
To support this dynamic, the Ministry has put in place a program that includes a clean-up operation in tourist areas, as well as festivals and shows in towns. A special program is also planned for archaeological sites and tourist circuits in the south, notably in Gabès, Tozeur and Gafsa, including the relaunch of the “tourist train” (Lézard rouge) in the latter town.

The General Manager of the ONTT affirmed that promotion is one of the strategic pillars for enhancing the value of the Tunisian destination in all its components, relying on national campaigns and joint advertising with travel agencies, influencers and other stakeholders. According to him, European tourism recorded growth of 15% between January and March 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.
The ceremony was marked by a guided tour of the Kobbet Enhas Palace, attended by the ambassadors of France, Italy, Norway, Germany and Portugal, as well as diplomatic representatives and guests, highlighting its rich historical and architectural heritage.
