The Grand Prize of the 35th Journées Cinématographiques de Carthage (JCC) was awarded to the feature film ‘’Red Path‘’ by Lotfi Achour, becoming the 10th Tunisian film to win the Golden Tanit of the Carthage Film Festival since its creation in 1966.
The complete prize list for the official competition of the JCC, held from December 14 to 21, 2024, was unveiled on Saturday evening at a ceremony held at the Théâtre de l’Opéra in the City of Culture in Tunis.
‘’Red Path‘’ also won the Audience Prize, awarded ex aequo with the Syrian film ‘’Salma‘’ by Joud Said.

Tunisian cinema also won four other prizes, including three Tanits in the documentary competition.
The short film ‘Les derniers jours avec Eliane’ by Mehdi Hajri won a Tanit d’or. The feature film ‘Matula’ by Abdallah Yahia and the short film ‘Bord à bord’ by Sahar El Euchi each won a Bronze Tanit.
