Italy’s SABELT plans to set up a manufacturing plant in Tunisia

A delegation from the Italian company SABELT visited Tunis from April 6 to 9, 2025 to explore the possibility of setting up a production unit for automotive safety systems in Tunisia.

Specializing in the design and manufacture of safety systems for the automotive, motorsport, aerospace and, more recently, Sim Racing sectors, SABELT is now a major global player in the field of safety technologies, thanks to the growing diversification of its activities, according to FIPA.

During a meeting with the Italian delegation, Jalel Tebib, Managing Director of FIPA-Tunisia, presented the business climate in Tunisiaand investment opportunities in the automotive sector while outlining the current state and development prospects of this sector.

He also highlighted the sector’s competitiveness pact. Tebib underlined the importance of Italian investment and the presence of Italian companies in Tunisia, and assured the audience of FIPA-Tunisia’s readiness to support SABELT in all the steps required to complete this project under the best possible conditions.
