IACE Economic Forum 2025 Charts “New Horizons” for Tunisian Tourism

The Tunisian tourism sector is set for a strategic overhaul as it looks towards emerging markets to drive national economic growth. The Arab Institute of Business Leaders (IACE) will host the 9th edition of the Tunisia Economic Forum on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the Maison de l’Entreprise.

Held in partnership with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, this year’s forum, titled “Tourism in Tunisia: Towards New Horizons,” will focus exclusively on unlocking the potential of high-growth, yet underdeveloped, tourism sectors.

The conference will zero in on five key segments identified as major growth levers:

  • Senior Tourism
  • Health and Wellness Tourism
  • Guest Houses and Rural Tourism
  • Luxury Tourism
  • Rental Tourism

Industry analysts suggest that developing these niches is critical for diversifying Tunisia’s tourism offerings, redistributing tourist traffic geographically, and stimulating domestic investment.

A primary objective of the forum is to draft a tailored regulatory framework to support these new segments and conduct a thorough economic assessment of their potential. This evaluation aims to quantify their anticipated impact on national GDP, job creation, and revenue generation.

A flagship annual event, the Tunisia Economic Forum brings together policymakers, industry experts, and economic leaders to build a collective roadmap for a more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable tourism industry.
