President Beji Caid Essebsi received on Friday at Carthage Palace Imam of Grand Mosque and Saudi Arabia’s Advisor at Royal Court Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid who is paying a five-day visit to Tunisia (February 1-5).
The Head of the State highlighted the importance of this visit that will “further strengthen privileged and fraternal relations between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia,” hailing “the strong bilateral co-operation in several fields”, TAP reports a statement of the Presidency of the Republic.
Caid Essebsi also commended Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud’s and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud’s interest to strengthen co-operation between Tunisia and Saudia Arabia, a Presidency statement reads.
In turn, Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid extended to Caid Essebsi, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud’s and Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud’s greetings and sincere wishes for further progress and prosperity to Tunisia and its people.
He further highlighted Tunisia’s place in the Islamic world, affirming his country’s determination to boost bilateral co-operations.
The meeting was attended by Religious Affairs Minister Ahmed Adhoum, according to TAP.
