Air traffic up by 9.4% from January to November 2024 in Tunisia

According to the Tunisian Civil Aviation and Airports Authority (Oaca), in the first 11 months of the year, Tunisia recorded a 9.4 per cent increase in the number of passengers using its airports, with more than 8.9 million travellers. In particular, Djerba and Tozeur airports recorded double-digit growth of 12.7% and 97.9%, respectively, driving the sector’s recovery.

Commercial air traffic (arrivals and departures) also increased by five per cent, with a total of 73,325 aircraft movements by the end of November 2024. The number of aircraft overflying Tunisian airspace will increase significantly by 15.5%, reaching 56,270 overflights between January and November 2024.
