On day two of SITFY, chaired by director Mazen El-Gharabawy, 4 theatrical shows from Egypt, Libya and the UAE will be presented.
As for the Children Theater competition, the first show “Don Quixote”, written by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra and directed by Mahmoud Grazi, will be presented at the open-air theater of the Cultural Palace at 4:30 PM.
At 5:30 PM, “Hunting” show from the UAE, written and directed by Mohanad Karim, will be presented at the main theater of Sharm El-Sheikh Cultural Palace.
At 7:00 PM, “Kharaf” show from Libya, written and directed by Wassim Bourouis, will be presented at the open-air theater of the Old Market, as part of the Street Theater and Non-Traditional Spaces competition.
Day two concludes with “One Hundred and Thirty Pieces” show from Egypt, written by Taha Zaghloul and directed by Mohamed Farag, which will be presented at the main theater of Sharm El-Sheikh Cultural Palace at 10:30 PM, as part of the Ensemble Production competition.
The ninth SITFY kicked off on November 15th and runs until November 20th, 2024, under the chairmanship of director Mazen El-Gharabawy. The current edition bears the name of late director Galal El-Sharkawy. Dr. Engy El-Bestawy is SITFY’s managing director and producer Hesham Soliman is the chairman of SITFY’s higher committee. Lady of Arab Theater, actress Samiha Ayoub, is SITFY’s honorary president. The festival is held under the auspices of the Minister of Culture, Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, and South Sinai Governor, Major-General Khaled Mubarak and is supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Tourism Promotion Authority.
