20th Meetings on the Bridge
April 15-17, 2025
Organised by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) as part of the Istanbul Film Festival, Meetings on the Bridge connects producers, directors, and screenwriters from Türkiye with international film professionals in its 20th year.
The 20th Meetings on the Bridge, supported by Anadolu Efes as its main sponsor, will host the Film Development Platform on 15-16-17 April this year.
As part of the Film Development Platform, feature-length fiction and documentary projects from Türkiye will make their first international presentations and hold one-on-one meetings with international industry professionals. Meetings on the Bridge aims to support the international collaborations of the projects selected for the platform.
This year, 101 projects applied to the Film Development Platform. The selection committee, consisting of producer and sales representative Denis Krupnov, director and Sinematek General Coordinator Elif Ergezen, director and screenwriter Nazlı Elif Durlu, and script consultant and screenwriter Simona Nobile, evaluated the applications, selecting 8 projects for the platform.
This year’s selection includes 5 fiction and 3 documentary projects.

● Dead End (dir. Şeyhmus Altun, prod. Johanna Sveinsdottir, Ege Göksu)
● Roots in the Air (dir. Elif Mermer, prod. Dilde Mahalli, Elif Mermer)
● You Little Box (dir. Mert Kaya, prod. Mert Kaya)
● Displaced (dir.Barış Kefeli, Nükhet Taneri, prod. Melisa Sözen)
● Light Up The Night (dir. Emre Erdoğdu, prod. Nadir Öperli, İrem Akbal)
● The Guardians of The Old Lady (dir. Selda Taşkın, prod. Sezgi Üstün San, Gökçe Işıl Tuna)
The teams of the selected projects will receive training in March from experienced local and international mentors on script development, presentation techniques, festival and distribution strategies, and film financing.
The awards to be presented as part of the Film Development Platform will be announced later.
