Measures for Tunisian Olive Oil Exports to Europe

New measures in Tunisia dictate that the country’s olive oil producers must obtain specific authorization to participate in the country’s duty-free export quota program with the European Union. The presidential decree applies to all Tunisian companies already registered on the official list of olive oil exporters, TAP reports. Tunisia’s grain harvest is expected to increase by 30-40% this year compared to one year ago, Mohamed Rjaibia, a senior official of the farmers’ union, told reporters on Tuesday. Stone fruit production to rise in Tunisia

The production of stone fruits is expected to go up in Tunisia with an estimated production of 295,000 tons in 2022, against 285,000 tons the previous year, up 3.5%. The growth is due to favourable climate conditions, according to data from the Interprofessional Fruit Grouping (GIFruits).
