There are evenings that pass like any other, and there are evenings that leave you with a beautiful discovery. My evening with Brazilian Glow was one of the latter.
On August 13, as Tunisia celebrated its National Women’s Day, I had the pleasure of attending a special evening marking the launch of a new skincare and haircare collection designed for men. The occasion was elegant, warm and inspiring, but what stayed with me most was not simply the atmosphere of the celebration. It was the discovery of a Tunisian beauty brand that combines creativity, care and a strong belief in natural ingredients.
Before this evening, I knew Brazilian Glow mainly by name. But getting to know its products closely allowed me to discover a much broader world of beauty and personal care.
What immediately caught my attention was the variety of products dedicated to hair and skin, developed with a clear focus on care, nourishment and beauty. The brand offers a range of hair treatments, masks, serums and products designed for different hair types, alongside skincare and body-care products.
What impressed me particularly was the importance given to naturally inspired ingredients. Coconut oil, coconut water, flaxseed, marine algae, vitamin E, pro-vitamin B5 and other plant-based ingredients feature in different products, reflecting an approach that seeks to combine beauty with thoughtful care.
For me, however, the most inspiring aspect of Brazilian Glow is its Tunisian identity.
The name may immediately evoke Brazil, its beauty culture and its famous approach to hair and skincare, but behind the brand is a Tunisian experience, Tunisian expertise and a local ambition to create products capable of competing beyond Tunisia’s borders.
That is something that deserves recognition.
At a time when consumers are increasingly interested in what they put on their skin and hair, the idea of combining natural-origin ingredients with modern cosmetic expertise has become more than a trend. It has become part of a new understanding of beauty: beauty that is about taking care of ourselves rather than simply changing our appearance.
The launch of the new men’s collection was also particularly interesting.
The modern Tunisian man is becoming increasingly conscious of skincare, haircare and personal appearance. Self-care is no longer perceived as something exclusively associated with women. It is becoming part of a broader culture of confidence, well-being and personal presentation.
And I found it especially appropriate that this new collection was presented during an evening coinciding with Tunisia’s celebration of Women’s Day. It was a reminder that beauty and self-care belong to everyone, while the occasion itself remained a celebration of the achievements and presence of Tunisian women.
As I discovered the different Brazilian Glow products during the evening, I found myself thinking about the evolution of Tunisia’s beauty industry.
There was a time when many of us instinctively associated quality beauty products with international brands. Today, Tunisian companies are increasingly demonstrating that innovation, ambition and quality can also be created locally.
Brazilian Glow is, in my view, an example of that changing landscape.
The company presents itself as a Tunisian brand inspired by Brazilian beauty traditions, while developing and offering a wide range of products for hair, skin and body care. Its journey also extends beyond the Tunisian market, with products reaching international markets.
But beyond the products themselves, what I appreciated most was the story behind them: the idea that a Tunisian brand can take inspiration from another culture, reinterpret it and transform it into something of its own.
This is where I believe the real beauty lies.
My evening with Brazilian Glow was therefore much more than attending a product launch. It was an opportunity to discover a Tunisian experience that I had not previously explored closely, to meet people passionate about their work and to see how local creativity can find its place in a competitive beauty industry.
I left the evening genuinely happy.
Happy because I discovered new products, but even more because I discovered a Tunisian brand with ambition, creativity and a vision that deserves to be known.
Perhaps this was the most beautiful message of the evening: beauty does not always have to come from elsewhere. Sometimes, it is created right here, by Tunisian hands, with Tunisian expertise, inspired by the world and ready to reach it.
Finally, I would like to express my sincere thanks to journalist Afifa Boukil for her kind invitation, which gave me the opportunity to attend this special evening, discover Brazilian Glow more closely and share an experience that I found both enjoyable and inspiring.
