Saudi, Tunisian Foreign Ministers Strengthen Ties at High-Level Consultation

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, met with his Tunisian counterpart, Mohamed Ali Nafti, on Tuesday to bolster diplomatic relations and coordinate on regional stability.

The ministers co-chaired the fourth session of the Saudi-Tunisian Follow-up and Political Consultation Committee. The high-level talks focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and addressing pressing international issues, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

A central outcome of the meeting was the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on diplomatic training. The agreement, signed between the Prince Saud Al Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies and Tunisia’s Diplomatic Academy, aims to enhance collaboration between the two nations’ foreign services.

According to SPA, the discussions covered a wide range of “issues of mutual interest,” including recent regional and international developments. Both sides emphasized their commitment to joint efforts in pursuing peaceful solutions to conflicts.

“The two sides stressed the importance of continuing joint work and enhancing consultation,” SPA stated, noting that the goal is to “consolidate security, stability, and prosperity” throughout the region.
