Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Tunisia, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Buraithen, visited the headquarters of Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) in Tunisia on Thursday, where he was received by the company’s General Manager.
During the visit, Ambassador Al-Buraithen was briefed on SABIC’s activities and presence in Tunisia. He also toured the company’s premises and visited its various departments and facilities, where he received an overview of its operations and its role in the basic and chemical industries.
The visit also included the screening of a short documentary highlighting SABIC’s journey in Tunisia, its presence and achievements, as well as the company’s five-decade track record in industry, innovation and development.

The visit comes as SABIC celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, marking five decades since its establishment in 1976. Over the years, the company has grown into one of the world’s leading chemical companies, with operations in 44 countries, more than 26,000 employees, and products reaching customers in more than 140 countries worldwide.
The visit underscores the importance of Saudi Arabia’s industrial and investment presence in Tunisia and highlights SABIC as an example of Saudi Arabia’s international economic engagement, further reflecting the depth of cooperation and strong relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Tunisia.
