Promoting the Tunisian destination with celebrities from Belgium and the Netherlands

A group of media, acting, sports and social media influencers from Belgium and the Netherlands are currently visiting Tunisia to promote Tunisia as a tourist destination to Belgian and Dutch citizens.

The initiative, supported by Tunisie Telecom, Tunisair and the Tourist Office, is owned by Belgium-based Tunisian Montasser Nasfi, owner of the travel and events agency MN Travel & Events.

The group, which will visit Tunisia from October 13 to 18, includes eight prominent media personalities (TV and radio), sports journalists and social media influencers with thousands of viewers and followers.

During a press conference held on Wednesday evening in the northern suburbs of the capital, Montasser Nasfi, the initiative’s creator, explained that his agency had prepared five rich programs and trips to Tunisia. The first of these took the current group to the city of Tunis, the archaeological sites of Carthage and the Bardo Museum, and to taste Tunisian cuisine.

Nasfi explained that his initiative is in favour of Tunisia and to increase its popularity, as well as to recover the Belgian market, which was the third in the 1990s after France and Germany, but declined, especially after the terrorist attack in Sousse in which Belgians were killed.

He added that the strategy adopted by his agency mainly targets Belgian-Dutch youth who are capable of influencing public opinion in their country and changing the equation.

He noted that his initiative, which does not ask for financial support, was not supported in the past years by the relevant structures, but today it is welcomed by the officials of the relevant structures and institutions that rely on young people who want to develop and promote Tunisia.

The other four programmes that will take place in the future include a visit to Jthe South, a programme to visit the cities of the coast, a golf tourism programme in Tabarka, and a special programme for conference and film tourism to attract filmmakers.

The participants expressed their admiration for Tunisia’s beautiful landscapes, historical and cultural heritage, as well as its distinctive Tunisian gastronomy, which qualifies it to be a leading tourist destination.
