Commenting on the occasion, Dr. Hilal Al-Sanani stated that the signing of these partnership protocols with STEG International Services and SONEDE International represents a strategic milestone in enhancing bilateral cooperation between Oman and Tunisia in the vital sectors of energy and water, while also strengthening public-private collaboration — two pillars essential for sustainable development and socio-economic stability.

The Ambassador highlighted that these agreements open the door for the exchange of technical and administrative expertise between the two sides, allowing both countries to benefit from their rich experiences in managing energy and water projects. He emphasized that this collaboration will support joint project success, advance sustainable development goals, and reflect the shared strategic vision of both nations to modernize critical infrastructure and public services.

Dr. Al-Sanani further underscored that these partnerships embody the investment diversification goals of Oman Vision 2040, as ONEIC aims to expand both domestic and international investments in strategic sectors, leveraging Tunisia’s advanced expertise to promote sustainable growth and strengthen the national economy.

“The signing of these agreements,” he added, “embodies Oman Vision 2040’s commitment to diversified and sustainable investment, and to broadening strategic partnerships with friendly nations. This cooperation serves the mutual interests of our peoples and contributes to long-term sustainable development.”

The Ambassador also praised the constructive spirit of cooperation shown by the Tunisian parties, expressing optimism that these protocols will soon evolve into tangible, on-the-ground projects that will enhance public service quality and reinforce economic and technological partnerships between Oman and Tunisia.

He noted that the partnership between ONEIC and Tunisian institutions stands as a model of successful Arab collaboration in key sectors, reflecting a shared commitment to knowledge transfer, technical excellence, and investment diversification in support of sustainable development.

Concluding his remarks, Al-Sanani reaffirmed that Omani-Tunisian relations are built on mutual respect and constructive cooperation, and that these agreements reflect mutual trust, create opportunities for knowledge exchange, and strengthen strategic partnerships in line with Oman Vision 2040 — aimed at bolstering the national economy, promoting investment diversity, and deepening partnerships with Arab nations.
