Tunisia Hosts Fourth Arab Public Finance Forum, Spotlighting Digital Transformation and Financial Resilience

Tunisia hosted the Fourth Arab Public Finance Forum of the Sharjah Award in Public Finance on Oct. 6–7, 2026, bringing together senior officials, experts and public finance specialists from several Arab countries.

Jointly organised by the Arab Administrative Development Organisation (ARADO), affiliated with the League of Arab States, and the Government of Sharjah, the two-day forum focused on “Financial Resilience and Sustainability: Designing Adaptive Budgets and Maximising Value for Money.”

Discussions on the second day centred on digital transformation and modern financial systems in improving government financial management. Specialised workshops addressed digital governance, measuring the impact of technology spending, and the role of digital financial systems in maximising value for money.

Tunisia’s experience was highlighted during the programme, reflecting the forum’s aim of exchanging expertise among Arab countries.

The event concluded with a final statement presented by Dr Hassan Diab, Head of the Specialised Awards Group at ARADO. Organisers said the forum provided a specialised Arab platform for dialogue on the future of public finance and helped strengthen government financial practices amid rapid economic and technological change.
