Following a successful and diverse summer tour, Tunisian singer Eya Daghnouj returns to the stage of the Municipal Theatre of Tunis for her first concert after the summer season, with a special tarab performance titled “In the Presence of Mohamed El Mougi”, scheduled for Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
The concert promises a distinctive musical evening, as Daghnouj brings together the strength of her vocal performance with the rich legacy of Egyptian composer Mohamed El Mougi, one of the most influential figures in the development of modern Arabic music.
Through the concert, Daghnouj pays tribute to the celebrated composer by revisiting a selection of his timeless works and presenting them to Tunisian audiences in a new interpretation that celebrates the enduring appeal of authentic Arabic tarab.
The evening will feature Yahya El Mougi, son of the late composer, as a guest of honor, alongside artist Ahmed Maher, while maestro Mohamed Laswad will lead the accompanying orchestra.
The concert comes after a busy summer for Eya Daghnouj, during which she performed at a variety of musical events and venues. She now marks the beginning of a new artistic chapter with an evening dedicated to authentic Arabic music and the enduring legacy of one of the Arab world’s great composers.
