Tunisia has been elected to the Executive Council of the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB), securing the seat during the organization’s 17th General Assembly held in the Gambian capital, Banjul.
The continental milestone saw active participation from Tunisian Television, represented by CEO Chokri Ben Nacer. The national broadcaster continues to strengthen its presence within African media structures and contribute to the development of joint cooperation and expertise-sharing among broadcasters across the continent.
According to a statement from Tunisian Television posted on its official Facebook page, the election recognizes Tunisia’s growing role in the African media landscape and acknowledges the competence and experience of Tunisian media professionals in audiovisual production.
The achievement comes as Tunisian Television celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, underscoring the institution’s longstanding legacy and sustained regional and international influence.
