As the United States prepares to commemorate the 250th anniversary of its independence in 2026, the U.S. government–funded Fulbright Specialist Program will provide Tunisian institutions with a unique opportunity to host distinguished American academics and professionals. The initiative aims to foster collaboration and strengthen expertise in fields that reflect the spirit and core values of the United States.
Eligible applicants include universities and higher education institutions, government ministries and agencies, courts and parliamentary bodies, cultural organizations such as museums and conservatories, as well as non-governmental organizations, including think tanks. The program also leaves room for other types of institutions to apply.
Proposed projects should align with the themes of America’s semi-quincentennial. These may cover a wide range of fields, including but not limited to: American studies and history, political science, military and strategic studies, constitutional law, philosophy, religious studies, education, public policy and leadership, U.S. foreign policy, American global leadership, U.S. business and economics, cultural heritage preservation, research capacity-building in American history, as well as intercultural dialogue on U.S. values and their global impact.
