The festival features captivating performances by world-renowned ensembles and soloists from across the globe, tributes to the prolific musical cultures of the region, and genre-bending performances. Highlights of the festival include NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, Camerata Salzburg and Geneva Camerata as well as acclaimed virtuosos Hélène Grimaud, Frank Peter Zimmermann and Rafał Blechacz.

For over half a century, the Istanbul Music Festival has been a cornerstone in Türkiye’s classical music calendar. With its lineups of esteemed artists and versatile selection, the festival draws in audiences of all backgrounds. The 53rd Istanbul Music Festival will offer cross-border musical journeys featuring Turkish, Greek, Iranian, and Azerbaijani traditional instruments and melodies; explorations of Baroque, Romantic, Classical, and Contemporary works spanning the 17th to the 21st century; and interdisciplinary performances blending classical music with breakdance, hip-hop, painting, and theatre. The programme also includes world premieres, special projects supporting young musicians, and free concerts and workshops for children in Yıldız, Yoğurtçu and Habitat Parks.

Alongside Istanbul’s grand concert halls, the festival will be hosted in some of the city’s most remarkable heritage sites, including Palais de France, Sakıp Sabancı Museum, Kınalıada Christos Greek Orthodox Monastery, the churches of Büyükdere, and Tarabya Hotel – a 100-year-old social hub of the city known today as The Grand Tarabya.
