The Mount Semmama Cultural Centre of Arts and Crafts (governorate of Kasserine) is organising the 8th edition of the Shepherd Festival from April 7 to 9.
This new edition bearing the name of the Aurés Mountains will be an occasion to pay tribute to Algeria. Preparations are underway over the Tunisian-Algerian mountain border for the hosting an artistic meeting that will bring together guests from both countries namely artists and intellectuals.
The Cultural Centre of Mount Semmama will be the hosting place of the 8th Shepherd Festival, with attendance of Algerian writer Taoufik Aouni and Algerian musician Yahya al Sabi.
The new Cultural Centre of Arts and Crafts of Mount Semmama was inaugurated on October 20 by the Rambourg Foundation Tunisia.
The Shepherd Festival provides the occasion for the locals to celebrate and sing freedom and a way to protect customs and traditions of mountain shepherds.
