Med.Tn, Doctor booking platform, raises over $650,000

Med.Tn a Tunisian doctor booking platform has raised a bit over $650,000, about 2 million Tunisian Dinars, in funding from one of country’s leading insurance companies, Carte Groupe.

The Start-up Med.Tn had first announced the round in December last year and closed it last month.

Founded by Tunisians Aymen Turki, Issam Bellaj, and Emna Jellouli in 2017, Med.Tn connects users with different healthcare providers including doctors, pharmacies, and laboratories. The users can browse through profiles of doctors, read their reviews and book appointments with them. They can also search for pharmacies and laboratories by area, and read their reviews as well.

Med.Tn also allows users to directly ask health-related questions form any doctor listed on the platform.

The startup has its services available in Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Turkey, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, and Senegal. They have now 3,000 active doctors on the platform and over 500,000 monthly users.
