Tunisia Ecosystem Week to host 70 leading African investment professionals

Tunisia will host a gathering of leading pan-African ecosystem players and investment professionals, organised by V3 Factory and Dream VC. Tunisia Ecosystem Week will offer an in-depth immersion to connect international investors with Tunisian startup pioneers and players, bringing them together with local investors, high-potential local startups, active startup support organisations (SSOs) and local businesses.

This initiative is supported by the Invest for Jobs Special Initiative ‘Decent Jobs for a Just Transition’ of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the GIZ Tunisia Digital Transformation Centre, in cooperation with the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, the World Bank and Smart Capital, as well as Madica VC, the Qawefel project financed by the AFD – Agence Française de Développement and implemented by Expertise France, Impact Partner, the dot and Orange.

This event marks a strategic moment in Tunisia’s growth as a key innovation hub in Africa, reinforced by the recent remarkable exits of Tunisian technology companies Expensya and Instadeep, the largest in African history.
Over the three days, 70 renowned investment professionals, representing VCs, business angels, IFIs, etc., from Africa’s most influential firms, will participate in networking events and workshops designed to foster the mutual exchange of knowledge and strengthen investment readiness across the value chain. Local entrepreneurs, startup support organisations and other ecosystem players will join the delegation to showcase Tunisia’s dynamic entrepreneurial landscape and promising talent pool.

This event represents a rare opportunity for Africa-focused venture capitalists, angel investors and high-net-worth individuals to gain a better understanding of the Tunisian market. With the support of key local partners, the week will encourage the establishment of long-term collaborations and offer investors direct access to key innovators in the Tunisian market.

Participants will also gain an insight into the specific challenges and opportunities in Tunisia while bringing together startup founders and investors from the sub-Saharan region and elsewhere.

The Tunisian start-up ecosystem has reached a pivotal stage, with many initiatives in place to support its continued growth. Despite this maturity, access to finance remains an obstacle for local entrepreneurs. Tunisia Ecosystem Week aims to bridge this gap by facilitating essential interactions between Tunisian startups and international investors, paving the way for much-needed funding and support structures for expansion.
