TIA and World Bank strengthen partnership

The Tunisia Investment Authority (TIA) recently received a delegation from the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), a World Bank Group institution specializing in private investment guarantees, currently visiting Tunisia.

The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen ties between the two institutions and explore cooperation opportunities to support and promote investment in Tunisia.

On this occasion, TIA gave a detailed presentation on the investment climate in Tunisia, highlighting the economic opportunities, the attractive legal framework and the incentives offered to Tunisian and foreign investors. The aim was to demonstrate Tunisia’s potential as a preferred destination for private investment.

The MIGA delegation presented its intervention instruments, designed to guarantee and secure investments against potential economic risks. These tools, which include guarantees against restrictions on the transfer of funds, aim to reassure investors and attract foreign capital to strategic sectors, notably the renewable energy sector.

The meeting identified areas for strategic cooperation between the two institutions, with a view to improving services in favor of foreign direct investment, particularly for large-scale structuring projects in need of additional financing and guarantees to access the Tunisian market.
