Mohamed Malouche, chairman of the Tunisian American Young Professionals (TAYP) Boad of Directors said that next April 28 -29 will be marked by the organisation of “Retreat” in New York targeting the Tunisian diaspora in the United States and providing means to be mobilised to help the Tunisian economy.
Malouche told Express FM on Wednesday morning that through this event, a reflection will be made in order to find the adequate financial mechanisms that will allow this diaspora to invest in Tunisia. With regard to investment, a reflection will be made around the project of the creation of a diaspora fund.
Malouche said TAYP is a Tunisian network of skills, created in 2011 and based in Waschingthon, which works for the interests of Tunisia and its image in the United States especially to investors, which has “several programmes of Investment, Export, Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
According to TAP, the agenda of the event will include 4 workshops on themes related to export, entrepreneurship, education and exchange between Tunisia and North America.
Several senior executives and entrepreneurs from Silicon Valley, Seattle, California, Texas, Washington DC, and Montreal working for companies as prestigious as Apple, Amazon, Ebay, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, and Bloomberg are already introduced into the programme.
