TAP Referendum for Best Athlete of the Year 2024

The results of the TAP referendum have been announced: Ali Abdi, Firas Kattoussi, Maroua Bouzayani, Amenallah Tissaoui and Raoua Tlili are the winners of the 13th TAP referendum.

Tunisia Afrique Press (TAP) news agency organised a sports press day to announce the results of the 13th edition of the vote for the best athlete for 2024.

The Sports Press Day which was held, on Wednesday, at the TAP headquarters was marked by a round table discussion on the theme: “Professionalism in Tunisian football: Achievements and expectations”.

In his opening speech, TAP CEO Najeh Missaoui told the participants: “You are our partners in the development of the sport by recognising the efforts of our elite, who have made remarkable achievements over the past year. Discussing professionalism in the presence of all stakeholders is essential for developing Tunisian football.

As mentioned earlier, the TAP referendum has delivered its verdict: Ali Abdi, Firas Kattoussi, Maroua Bouzayani, Amenallah Tissaoui and Raoua Tlili are the winners for 2024.

Ali Abdi secured the title of Best Footballer of the Year with 543 points, ahead of Amenallah Memmiche (2nd, 332 points) and Hamza Mathlouthi (3rd, 319 points).

Firas Kattoussi, the gold medallist in taekwondo at the Paris Olympics, won the title of Best Athlete. Steeplechase specialist Maroua Bouzayani was named best female athlete. In the Best Paralympic Athlete of 2024 category, the award went to Amenallah Tissaoui. Raoua Tlili was also named Best Paralympic Female Athlete.
