“Maghreb Africa what economic paths for the consolidation of continental integration?” is the theme of a conference debate to be organised on Tuesday morning by the embassy of Morocco to Tunisia in the headquarters of the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA).
Latifa Akharbach, Ambassador of Morocco to Tunisia will open the event which will be attended by Tunisian and international officials namely Minister of Development, Investment and International Co-operation Fadhel Abdelkefi, Secretary of State for Trade Abdellatif Hammam and Mrs. Assitan Diarra-Thioune Director Representative of the African Development Bank (AfDB) who will lecture on the “prospects of win-win partnership and the Maghreb and Africa dynamics.
In turn, president of Moroccan-Tunisian Business council will speak on “Morocco Tunisia for a strong partnership in the service of the African continent”.
The speech of Hichem Elloumi president of Moroccan-Tunisian Business council and vice-president of the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA) will focus on “the Maghreb a competitive platform for the Euro-Africa market.
Mr. Alioune Gueye President of the Group Africa Challenge and General Commissioner of Africa Hub will address the theme “Morocco Tunisia: a new economic diplomacy for co-development in Africa.
Latifa Akharbach is Morocco’s ambassador to Tunisia since October 2016. As a journalist by training, she had taught for nearly 20 years in the media field. She was at the head of the National Radio of Morocco before being appointed Secretary of State for the Minister of Foreign Affairs. She was Ambassador to Bulgaria and Macedonia and co-author of two books on Women and Media, and Women and Politics.
