Red Sea Film Festival to Spotlight Acclaimed Tunisian, Spanish Titles in 2025 Lineup

The Red Sea International Film Festival will feature two highly anticipated special screenings at its fifth edition in December 2025, presenting the Saudi premieres of Tunisia’s “The Voice of Hind Rajab” and Spain’s Oscar-submitted “The Path.”

Scheduled for December 4–13 in Jeddah’s historic Al-Balad district, the festival will showcase Kaouther Ben Hania’s powerful hybrid documentary-drama, which reconstructs the final hours of six-year-old Palestinian girl Hind Rajab in Gaza. The film uses a striking visual approach to confront the human cost of war.

Alongside it, Oliver Laxe’s “The Path”—a Cannes 2025 Jury Prize winner—offers a meditative journey following a father and son’s search for a missing daughter. The Spanish-French co-production blends poetic imagery and sound in a exploration of loss and hope.

The festival continues its mission to present influential Arab and international cinema, complemented by industry panels, workshops, and masterclasses aimed at supporting emerging filmmakers.
