International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian People: Tunisia reiterates calls to comply with international legality

On the observance of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, on November 29 of each year, Tunisia recalls, in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Thursday, Security Council Resolution No. 2334 of 2016 calling on Israel to stop immediately and completely all its settlement activities in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

The aim is to make progress in the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, in accordance with the two-State solution and the principles of international legality and as part the Middle East peace process and the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state with Al Quds Al Sharif as its capital.

Tunisia will continue to support the Palestinian cause and the legitimate will of the Palestinian people to return all their non-negotiable and indivisible rights, the statement said.

Tunisia will work to mobilise the support of the international community, which is necessary for the protection of the Palestinian people and the efforts of the Palestinian State to regain its status as a full member of the United Nations,” said the press release.
